We are going to do two shows this weekend, The New England Fiber Festival and Stitches SoCal. How will we accomplish this witchcraft? Glad you asked! Esther and Jean Elizabeth will be in Springfield, Mass for The Fiber Festival of New England and our wonderful employee Cecillie will be in Pasadena.

Cecillie will have the shawls Ice Rain, which is knit, and  Nymphaea which can be done as a knit or a crochet project. As well as a ton of brand new beads!

We are participating in the Scavenger  Hunt this year!

All you need to do to participate is to find the booths which have this picture posted and then scan the QR code and answer the questions in order to be entered into a chance to win a boatload of amazing prizes!

Esther and Jean Elizabeth (and Daxton) will be at THE Fiber Festival of New England in Springfield, Mass. We'll have two amazing shawls of our own!

Jean Elizabeth will be teaching Learn to Knit with Beads. This is a great class which will show you multiple methods for adding beads to your projects and talk about what beads are good for different types and sizes of fibers. You will start to make a beaded cuff bracelet. It's an easy project that lets you focus on the beads instead of complicated directions. If you knit, you can make this beautiful, sparkly, soft bracelet.

We had a wonderful time at the Massachussets Sheep and Woolcraft Fair last weekend and are gearing up for the Maine Fiber Frolic June 6th and 7th. After that, it's back to the Left Coast for us!

First up will be having a trunk show and teaching a Basic Beaded Kumihimo Class at Blizzard Yarn and Fiber in Vancouver, WA. The class will be on June 13th from 11am until 2pm. For only $65 you will learn basic kumihimo as well as kumihimo with beads and leave the class with a beautiful fully beaded bracelet. Spaces are filling up quickly, so if you want to attend, reserve your space today. In addition to teaching, we will have a trunk show on June 13th from 2 to 5pm and June 14th from 1-4pm. If that isn't enough beady goodness, Laurinda Reddig will be teaching Crocheting with Beads on 13th from 3 to 5pm. She is an amazing instructor and designer and a great person. Don't miss out on this opportunity to add some sparkle to your crochet projects. You can call the lovely folks at Blizzard to sign up for either class (360) 991-5350.

Also in the works is a trunk show and possibly a class at Seattle Yarn. The tentative date is June 17th, so mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details!

Next is the Black Sheep Gathering on June 19th through the 21st. This will be our first time at the Gathering and everyone we've talked with says we'll be glad we came. The entire Marketplace will be indoors in the Exhibit Hall and will have the added bonus of WIFI, Air Conditioning and nice restrooms. Lily Chin will be teaching Beadaring, Beadelighted, Beadazzled – Bead Knitting on Friday, June 19, 8:30-11:30am and 1:30-4:30pm and we'll have plenty of beautiful beads on hand for those who need to bring some to class or get some to take home.

We can't wait to see all our pacific Northwest friends and to make lots of new ones!

Love,
Bead Biz

We're just a couple of bead chicks who found fiber and came over to the dark side. It's OK though, we brought cookies :)
