(Golden Amber, Irish Red, & Chocolate Stout)
We're going to be at both YarnFest and the DFW Fiber Festival this year!! We're so excited! We are busy getting ready for an epic road from Connecticut to Dallas to Loveland and back. We have lots of new beads to share with you as well as our exclusive 2018 shawls! We have 3 shawls this year all hand dyed by June Pryce Fiber Arts using merino and cashmere fingering. It's as yummy as it looks and so very soft - mmmm.
What happens when you get a knitter and a crocheter together? They create a shawl that can be either knitted or crocheted! Nymphaea is a collaboration between PDX Kniteratti and Laurdina Reddig. One version is knitted and one is crocheted. Both of them use June Pryce Fiber's yarn which has been dyed to match a set of Bead Biz's beads. The results are amazing!
Once upon a time there was an ice storm and a knit designer. When the storm was over, there was a beautiful pattern called Ice Rain designed by Kristi Holaas. This beaded beauty is your lace project for this year. It has beautiful beads and wonderful drape and comes in several colorways.
We will also have a number of Tsocks from our partner Art For Your Feet including:
(Golden Amber, Irish Red, & Chocolate Stout)
Of course, for those of you who knit socks, yet, we will have the wonderful Tsocks 101 kit which has a wonderfully written guide sock knitting and a skein of AFYF's own Tsilk Tsocking yarn (a blend of long staple US wool and silk with a high hosiery twist especially designed for sock knitting).
If we weren't busy enough this trip, it is also Daxton's (aka The Bead Baby) 6th birthday! Can you believe that he is already 6? We can't. He's been coming with us to fiber shows since he was 2 weeks old and many of you have known him since before he was born. He will be celebrating his birthday just before DFW with some friends in Dallas, but feel free to tell him Happy Birthday when you see him!
Can't wait to see you all!
It's finally time to escape the cold and come visit our friends in Washington, Oregon, and California! We have two new amazing exclusive shawls coming with us this year.
Our first one is lots of fun! Laurinda Redding and Michele Bernstein teamed up to create a shawl design that can be either knitted or crocheted. Both use our amazing gradient bead kits and use yummy merino/cashmere fingering hand-dyed by June Pryce Fibers.
If you're feeling adventurous, and we know that you folks are very adventurous, we have a wonderful new knitted shawl by Kristi Holaas.
We've scoured Japan and the Czech Republic to find tons of new beads that will work perfectly with your fiber projects and we've brought a few that have been unavailable for a while.
All that's left for you to do is come see us in Tacoma at the Madrona Fiber Arts Retreat, in Santa Clara at Stitches West, or in Portland during the Rose City Yarn Crawl at Fiber Rhythm Craft & Design.

We can't wait to see all you lovely people and show off all the cool new beads and designs we have for 2018.
So many new things are in the works here this Spring!
Let's start with our new Partner Company! Bead Biz is pleased to announce that we have officially partnered with Art For Your Feet (AFYF). As you may know,, our friend Lisa Grossman, the Tsarina of Tsocks and creator of many wonderful and unique sock patterns passed away 2 years ago. Her life partner, Jeff, inherited the business, and we and he have partnered in order make sure that her amazing tsocks continue to be available to our knitting community.
Both Bead Biz and Art For Your Feet will be at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival this weekend in booth North 18. Bead Biz will be featuring our newest shawl kits complete with pattern, beads, and yummy cashmere-merino yarn hand dyed by June Pryce Fiber Arts.
We will also have eleven brand new Gradient Bead Kits because if you have gradient yarns, you absolutely need gradient beads to go with them! Can't you just picture a wonderful gradient with dark-to-light yarn and light-to-dark beads in it?
There will be a limited number of Willow Ware Tsock Kits as well as a special limited number of patterns only available for purchase there. There might even be a few other tsock kits as well.
That info for Maryland? We have that right here!
Saturday May 6th 9am to 6pm
Sunday May 7th 9am to 5pm
Howard County Fairgrounds 2210 Fairground Road
West Friendship, MD
Our Booth: North 18
We will be sharing space with Art For Your Feet
Now it's time for us to continue getting all these beautiful goodies ready for Maryland!
See you this weekend!
Love gradient yarns? We do, too! After so many of you came to us to get matching beads for your lovely gradient yarns, we decided to create 10 Bead Sampler Kits. Each one comes with 5 tubes (approx. 25 grams/200 beads each) of different color beads that look amazing with gradient yarns. They come in cool zippered pouches that are a great place to store your beads and other knitting accessories.
Check out how fabulous these beads look with gradient yarns from two of our favorite hand-dyers.
A Hundred Ravens makes this beautiful Hecate Mini Set and we've paired it with our Purple Passion Bead Sampler.
They look fantastic together if you put the darkest beads on the lightest yarn or match the darkest beads with the darkest yarn.
And who could resist this lovely Dragonfire gradient from June Pryce paired with our Amber Waves Bead Sampler?
Check out all 10 of our Bead Sampler Kits. At only $32.00 each they are the perfect complement to the gradient yarn in your stash, and if, by chance, there is a gradient you'd like to see that isn't one of the ones we have made, drop us a note and tell us. Maybe your colorway will be the next one we do!
We'll be back on the road in September and we'll have new beads, new colors, and lots of Bead Sampler Kits. See you then!
We're just a couple of bead chicks who found fiber and came over to the dark side. It's OK though, we brought cookies :)
